Children ages 8-12 are invited to travel the globe while within the walls and grounds of the Hermann-Grima Museum at a summer camp from August 1–5. “Around the World” is the theme of this imaginative five-day adventure where children will learn about the diversity of nationalities and ethnicities that have made New Orleans one of the world’s most fascinating cities. Participants may register online.
We encourage campers to discover, explore, and imagine individual cultures that are connected with New Orleans history. From the earliest Native American settlements to the arrival of Vietnamese immigrants in the late 20th century, we will learn about how each culture has contributed to New Orleans through arts, crafts, dance, play, song, and field trips.
The week-long camp will begin every day at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. Registration fees are $225 for members (Family Membership and above) and $250 for non-members.
Please note, the Application Form below must be filled out, signed and returned to us before the start of camp. Registration fees may be paid in person or online via PayPal (see below).
