In May Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses welcomes Chef Serigne Mbaye of Dakar Nola. Dakar Nola is an ode to Chef Mbaye’s two favorite cities. He was born in the United States, but educated in Dakar, Senegal until his teenage years. A love for the professional kitchen led him to New England Culinary Institute where he graduated at the top of his class in 2016. A serendipitous encounter brought Chef Serigne Mbaye to the Crescent City that same year. After honing his skills at Commander’s Palace, Café Adelaide, Atelier Crenn (3 Michelin Stars, San Francisco), and L’Atelier Joel Robuchon (2 Michelin Stars, New York), Chef Serigne has launched Dakar Nola. Join us for a cooking demo and discussion on his international path to renowned chef.
