Thank you for choosing Herman-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses for your Group Tour. We offer a wide range of Group and Private Tour Opportunities, at both Hermann-Grima Historic House and Gallier Historic House, to meet your interests. We are excited you are joining us!
Led by our excellent team of Docents, Regular Group or Private Tours may be scheduled any day of the week Wednesday - Monday between the hours of 10am and 4pm. We are happy to schedule Group/Private Tours for groups of many sizes. See below for more information on booking Specialty or after-hours Group and Private Tours. Please note that tour capacity may be limited due to COVID restrictions in place at the time of the tour.
Private Tours are available during regular tour hours, depending upon availability. Private tours are for individuals or small groups (up to 15 people). For the widest selection of dates and times, please arrange with museum staff well in advance of your visit. You can book by emailing: info@hgghh.org
The cost is $200 for one house and $350 for both houses
Tours outside of regular tour hours (Tuesdays, holidays, mornings, early evenings, etc.) are available at an additional fee.
Group Tours are scheduled in advance through museum staff and available for groups greater than 15 people. They usually take place during standard museum hours (10am and 4pm, Wednesday - Monday) but may be arranged for outside of that time.
Docent-led Group Tours: A traditional tour of the entire house, lasting 45 minutes – 1 hour. Groups of more than 15 people will be divided appropriately to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both the visitors and the Houses and will be staggered.

$13 per person / per house, $20 per person for both houses
Open House Group Tours: For groups larger than 30; available at Hermann-Grima House only. Includes courtyard, slave quarters, first floor of main house and stable. Two-hour limit.
Groups up to 60 people: $13 per person
Each additional person: $11 per person
Limit of 100 people*

Specialty Tours
We offer general tours of the history and people who lived at both Hermann-Grima and Gallier Historic houses, as well as a tour at Hermann-Grima House focused on urban enslavement. During the summer months we offer a special Summer Dress Tour and throughout the month of October we offer a special Mourning Dress Tour at Gallier House. Both houses are decorated throughout the Christmas Season with Hermann-Grima House dressed for 19th-century New Year’s celebrations and Gallier Historic House dressed for traditional 19th-century Creole Christmas celebrations. Evening after hours Tours
Visiting Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses after hours, or in the evenings, is a special experience. View our two beautiful historic homes through the soft light of evening and step into another time. Evening Tours offer a unique private opportunity to immerse into the history of Hermann-Grima or Gallier Historic Houses and are perfect for groups wanting a more exclusive experience. An evening tour is a wonderful way to begin an evening out or a great way to end the day. These tours last approximately one hour and can be added onto with a wine and cheese reception for guests.
