Learn about life and death in old New Orleans. Gather at Hermann-Grima House for a look at 19th-century life in the Vieux Carré (1/2 hour). Afterward, we will head to the courtyard for a toast to the ghosts, followed by storytelling at St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, reputed to be the final resting place of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau, and other New Orleans notables (1 1/2 hours). We’ll have this historic cemetery all to ourselves – if you don’t count the dead.
